DARK CIRCLESΕλληνικάEnglish

Question: How do dark circles occur?

Answer: Dark circles, usually refer to the lower eyelid and are due to delicate skin around the eye area and little veins that protrude as we age and become more apparent; however, in most rare cases, the cause is an increase in melanin. The latter case occurs in dark skinned people and usually affects the upper eyelid, although to a milder degree.

Question: What do you recommend for dark circles around the eye area?

Answer: I would recommend Doctor’s Order Eye Nourishing which contains a low molecular hyaluronic acid for hydration and wrinkle reduction; additionally, it contains urea which is basically one of the greatest molecules in hydration, as well as cupuacu butter, a moisturizing agent that gradually hydrates the skin and through phytosterols it achieves skin restoration and antioxidant action

Another element used in this formula is Panthenol, which obtains soothing, hydrating and anti-inflammatory agents. Hyaluronic acid withholds the water underneath our skin and as a result it forms a very mild edema, which is enough to hide visible little veins that cause dark circles around the eyes.

I would also combine Doctor’s Order Eye Nourishing with Doctor’s Order Antioxidant Formula. Vitamin C contained in the latter formula decreases dark circles, strengthens vein walls, fades dark circle in the eye area while it reduces wrinkles. Both Vitamin C as well as Coenzyme Q10 found in this formula contribute to skin’s youthfulness. My advice for better results, is to make a mixture of both formulas in a 1 to 1 dosage, by spreading it around the eye area, morning and night.
